Farming experiences in the UK
Wwoofing and other opportunities to discover the rural english activities
Introduction
Welcome to " Farming experiences in the UK" blog, my blog about my experiences on working in english farms. I am a French student from AgroParisTech, a superior agronomic french school. I am currently doing a gap year in the UK, working in the Countryside and Community Research Institute (CCRI), in Gloucester.

In this blog, I am going to share with you my wwoof ( World Wide Opportunities in Organic Farms) and other farming experiences. Coming from a rural village in France, I have spent my all childhood playing in thie fields. It has developped my interest for nature, agriculture, animals and environment. I discovered wwoofing three years ago when I wanted to work in an English farm to improve my english and learn new skills. I went for two weeks in Devon, to volunteer in an organic free-range turkeys farm ( but I will come back on it later on this blog). I really enjoyed the experience, and continued the wwoofing experience in Canarias Islands, to work in a horse ranch. Thanks to my school, I had also the aopportunity to work one month in a goat farm in Pyrenean Mountains, I even learnt how to make cheese !

With my student placement in the CCRI, I have some free time I decided to use to do wwoofing, to meet new people from the rural sector, to learn new skills and share great times. This blog will be presented as a diary, with pictures and funny anectodes.
